Do you have friends that are so cheap that it actually hurts?
Now I’m not talking about friends who are frugal and monitor their expenses closely. Heck, I do that all the time!
But the kind of friends that I’m talking about is…
Friends who give you cheap and unthoughtful gifts that are obviously way less value than what you’ve given them…
Friends who never offer rides to people and only expect people to drive them…
Friends who never offer to pay for your meals even though you’ve offered and paid for their meals multiple times…
Friends who make you dinner that doesn’t have enough food to feed one person, when you’ve made them dinner that could feed an army of 10…
You get the idea… Yeah, that friend is the kind that I’m talking about!
Difference Between Frugal & Cheap
Don’t get me wrong – they are nice people. But, MY GOD, they are so cheap that it’s disrespectful and it feels like they are devaluing our friendship, no matter how nice they are!
Personally, I think that there is a huge difference between being Frugal and Cheap.
Being frugal is being conservative with your money and spending habits when it comes to your own life.
On the other hand, being cheap is freeloading off of your friends and taking advantage of their kindness. Pretty much making you feel like you’re being used.
People like that make me not want to hang out with them. That is what I’ve been doing now because it makes me wonder if they are truly my friends at all in the first place.
Married for 6 Months
In November, my husband and I celebrated our 6 months anniversary. We went out for dinner and talked about how the past 6 months as a married couple has been like.
A lot of people told us that it was difficult to start calling each other “husband” and “wife” after they got married. But honestly, it’s been really easy for us, it almost feels like that’s how it should be.
Then again, we’re still newlyweds, this is just the beginning of a long, but amazing journey ahead of us. 🙂
Categories that we went over budget
Not surprised that I went over budget this month for this category. There was a Sephora VIB sale, and I’ve been waiting forever for it since I wanted to stock up on some stuff.
Don’t regret it at all, it was worth it.
